To set up Internxt with your QNAP device, you will first have to download the Docker app by following the steps in this article.
NAS support is available for all Internxt Ultimate plans bought from our website.
Once you have your plan, you can set up your QNAP device with Internxt by following the instructions below.
Connect Internxt Drive to QNAP
Open “QNAP web interface”
Open “QNAP App Center”
Search for “Container Station” and install the app
4. Run “Container Station App” and click “Explore”
5. Search for “internxt-WebDAV” and deploy the official WebDAV server for Internxt
6. Click “latest” in the “Select Image Version” then click “next”
7. Fill the name with whatever name you want (eg, Internxt)
8. Check “Default web URL port” and set it to 3005
9. Click “Advanced Settings”
10. In the “Environments” tab, add two or three new variables
Two variables if you don’t use two-factor authentication
Three variables if you use two-factor authentication
11. The variables to use are:
INXT_USER
INXT_PASSWORD
INXT_OTPTOKEN (if you use two-factor authentication)
In order to get the “INXT_OTPTOKEN”, you need to:
Log in to your Internxt Drive account
Access “Settings”
Click on “Security”
Disable “Two Factor Authentication”
Re-Enable “Two Factor Authentication” (When you set up or re-set up “Two Factor Authentication.”
It will show you the 16 characters “INXT_OTPTOKEN”. Save the token and click “next” (The Token can be shown only when you configure the “Two Factor Authentication”)
12. Add the variables and their values, then click “Apply”
13. Click “Next” on “Container Station”, then “Finish”
14. Wait for the container to download, create, and start
15. Check if the container is running and note the Docker IP address (ignore the warnings and errors from the console)
16. Close “Container Station” and open “HBS 3 Hybrid Backup Sync” (if it is not installed, do this first)
17. Go to “Sync”, click “Create” and choose your option of backup
18. Choose “WebDAV” and complete all the fields with your data
(Storage Name “e.g. Internxt”
Your Internxt user e-mail account
Your Internxt account password,
The Server URL https://docker_ip:3005,
Untick “Validate SSL Certificate” if you get errors
19. Click “Create” and wait
19. Add the needed paired folders, finish the HBS 3 setup, and you're done
Extra tips
For compatibility purposes, you can use a forth variable when you configure the Docker, “WEBDAV_PROTOCOL” with the value “http”
Using a Bridge network for Docker containers will allow you to have a connection with the WebDAV server from any computer in the network, not only from inside the QNAP
