Internxt started selling lifetime accounts many years ago.
In March 2025, Internxt unveiled its brand new Lifetime plans: Essential, Premium, and Ultimate, as it started working on new products and features.
These new plans included less storage than legacy plans, but included more features, such as Meet, Mail, Antivirus, native Rclone and NAS support, and others.
Legacy lifetimes give you access to Internxt Drive's award-winning post-quantum zero-knowledge encrypted cloud storage for life, with a unique, one-time payment.
However, legacy plans do not include other products or features, such as but not limited to Internxt Mail, Meet, CLI, WebDAV, Rclone, NAS, Cleaner, Backups, Password-Protected File Sharing, Advanced Sharing, AI, File versioning, or Antivirus, which are sold separately by Internxt.
If you bought a legacy lifetime plan and want to upgrade it, you can purchase a new upgraded Lifetime plan directly from us using the same login as your existing legacy lifetime Internxt account.
You cannot upgrade lifetime plans by purchasing an annual plan, only lifetimes. If you try to upgrade with an annual plan, this will change your plan from lifetime > annual, and your storage will change.
This will stack the additional storage to your account, and will also add the extra features of the plan you bought.
So say that you have a 2TB legacy lifetime plan. You can then purchase an Internxt 5TB Ultimate Lifetime plan for that same account, and your account will now have 7TB plus all the extra features from our Ultimate lifetime plan.
