How to set up the backup storage location with Internxt and Acronis

Find out how to set up the storage location of your Acronis Cyber Project Cloud to Internxt's object storage.

Prerequisites

Internxt’s Object Storage has two main zones (Amsterdam & Texas), which have the following domains:

  • s3.eu-central-1.internxt.com

  • s3.us-central-1.internxt.com

Depending on the zone you want to store your data, you may create a bucket in each zone or both.

Setting up your backup storage location

To set up your backup storage location, follow these steps:

  1. Go to console.internxt.com and log in with your customer’s credentials.

    1. The username: is the email you provided on Acronis. If you forgot it, you can find it on Acronis Integrations Tab > Sub-Accounts > Mark the checkbox of your customer > Details > Account E-mail

    2. The password: is the sub-account default password provided by the Internxt team.

  2. Create a bucket for each zone you would like to have access to, which will be used to store your customer’s backup.

Note: Bucket Versioning should be enabled, Object Locking may be enabled or not, depending on whether you want immutability or not.

  3. Once the bucket(s) has/have been created, go to your Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud Tenant

  4. Go to Clients and choose the client you mapped to the Internxt’s Object Storage account you are configuring.

  5. Click on Open Service

  6. Go to Backup Storage

  7. Click on +Add Location

  8. Choose Public Cloud

  9. On the dropdown, choose S3 Compatible and click Connect

  10. Fill the form with the Agent, the Endpoint URL (both URLs available are mentioned at the beginning of this article, although the zone should match the bucket’s zone; if not, the bucket will not appear in the next steps)
