Two-factor authentication, or 2FA for short, is an extra layer of security added to the login process. 2FA is used to verify your identity and prevent the bad guys from accessing your accounts or private information.
Moreover, it significantly enhances account security by ensuring that even if passwords are compromised, unauthorized access can still be prevented by requiring verification through a unique OTP (one-time password).
You can configure 2-Factor Authentication for your Internxt account from the Drive Web app.
You can use Authy or any other 2FA tool to generate your 2FA code with Internxt. If you lost your 2FA, check this article to learn how to recover it.
If your 2FA codes are marked as invalid, check the time and date settings on your device to ensure they are synchronized automatically. This ensures the validity of time-based 2FA codes and resolves most issues related to invalid codes. Additionally, the OTP secret used for generating your 2FA codes should be securely saved during the initial setup, as it cannot be retrieved later.
If the OTP secret was not saved, you need to regenerate it by disabling and reactivating 2FA, ensuring to save the new key during reactivation.
